Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado seeks a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. You will monitor security cameras, control access, respond to incidents, and coordinate with local law enforcement as needed.

The role includes de-escalation, handling alarms, conducting safety inspections, and participating in drills. Requirements include a valid driver's license, basic life support certification or willingness to obtain

Qualificações

• Current Driver’s License (if applicable for the role).
• Current Basic Life Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• At least 21 years of age.
• If located in the State of Montana Security Guard Licensure is required within 120 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Operates and monitors security technology systems, including cameras, access control and alarms.
• De-escalation: use verbal/non-verbal strategies to calm individuals and resolve conflicts.
• Respond to violent or potentially dangerous situations to protect staff and patients.
• Regulatory compliance, including HIPAA reporting and minimum disclosure.
• Bomb threat/suspicious package responses following safety protocols.
• Participate in drills such as infant abduction and active shooter scenarios.
• Conduct respectful and safe searches of patients and narcotics screening as required.
• Safety inspections of walking surfaces and fire extinguishers to mitigate risks.
• Parking enforcement to maintain safety and accessibility.
• Investigations in collaboration with HR and law enforcement, handling disclosures of information.
