Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX is hiring a Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol to safeguard healthcare locations. You will perform patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role is full-time with specified day-time shifts and a pay rate of $22.50 per hour. Applicants will undergo background checks and drug screening in compliance with laws.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and direction of authorized individuals in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
