Job summary

Blackstone Consulting, Inc. seeks a dedicated Healthcare Security Officer to join our healthcare security team serving a leading provider.

You will support care delivery, remain vigilant, and help ensure safety for patients, staff, and visitors in a fast-paced hospital environment. Minimum qualifications include 18+ years old with a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, a guard card, and legal right to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a reliable and functional means of communication (i.e., cell phone).
• The legal right to work in the United States.
• Possess a valid government-issued driver’s license.
• Active state-issued guard card.

Responsibilities

• Observing and remaining vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrolling on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, security violations, and unauthorized individuals.
• Verbally and physically de-escalating individuals, as needed.
• Inspecting all security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screening members, visitors, and client employees to expedite their admittance to the facility.
• Responding to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, or inclement weather with calm urgency.
• Preparing logs and investigative reports with accurate information.
• Reading and interpreting police reports, local and state law, and procedure manuals.
• Ensuring property removal is conducted within policy requirements and client standards.
• Passing the client’s pre-employment screening process (Drug Test, Health Screen, Background Check).
• Wearing an N95 mask and adhering to safety guidelines while onsite.
• Completing healthcare competency training and Defusing assaultive behavior.
• Willing to ride a bicycle.
