Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Fremont, NE is seeking a Security Officer for the Methodist Fremont Health location. Schedule is Sat-Sun 12am to 12pm. This role enforces policies, protects personnel and property, and responds to emergencies across system properties.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 years security experience preferred, and certifications (TPR/NVCI) within 1 year. Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain required trainings are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Associates/Bachelor in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
• TPR and NVCI certifications within 1st year of employment.
• 2–3 years of security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides security at Health System facilities and conducts patrols.
• Mentors employees on policies and procedures.
• Uses access programs and monitors doors/alarms.
• Coordinates with supervisors during emergencies.
• Assists outside agencies per policies and procedures.
• Provides escorts for patients, visitors, and valuables.
• Conducts escorts for patients, staff, and monetary items.
• Assists injured or ill individuals and ensures medical treatment.
• Responds to emergencies and follows directives.
• Controls disruptive individuals by presence and de-escalation.
• Assists with Lost and Found program and proper documentation.
• Documents incidents accurately using reporting system.
• Follows PPE and infection control guidelines.
• Participates in departmental committees and tasks.
• Maintains professional, customer-centric demeanor.
