Job summary

USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital is seeking a Full Time Security Guard to safeguard staff, visitors and patients while supporting the Hospitality Services Department. The role requires patrolling, logging incidents, and coordinating with security teams to ensure safety.

The position may include weekend and holiday shifts. Strong English communication, attention to detail and adherence to hospital policies are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; technical or electrical trade school is a plus.
• 3 years’ experience in hospital setting preferred.
• General knowledge of hospital processes.
• Knowledge of hospital processes and procedures.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals and blueprints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Inspects facility for proper security and working conditions; maintains routine records and notes equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain security log with detailed descriptions for each shift.
• Actively notify proper personnel of alarms and document communications.
• Ensure completion of rounds and use rounding forms.
• Attend routine security training and education.
• Maintain documentation and reports per hospital Quality and Infection Control.
• Escort visitors and staff when needed.
• Complete shift reports with relieving officer.
• Participate in department meetings and continuing education.
• Maintain professional attitude and confidentiality with patients and staff.
• Weekend/holiday and non-standard hours may be required.
• Flex schedule and overtime call-back for emergencies.
