Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid NC driver's license.
• Pass pre-employment screening and background investigation.
• Maintain CPI, Vistelar, CPR and other applicable certifications.

Responsibilities

• Represent Duke Health with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
• Communicate via radios, email, and in-person with departments and visitors.
• Patrol premises on foot or vehicle to deter crime and ensure safety.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and requests for service promptly.
• De-escalate tense situations and assist clinical teams as needed.
• Maintain a weapons-free environment and screen for contraband.
• Uphold University and Hospital policies on safety and access control.
