Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, military, or customer service preferred.
• Healthcare security experience strongly preferred.
• AVADE Certified in Workplace Violence Prevention Levels I, II, and III or obtain within 60 days of employment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Emotional resilience and the ability to de-escalate people in crisis or with grievances.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must demonstrate ability to write Security Reports.

Responsibilities

• Assure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Coordinate shift activities to ensure compliance with hospital policies and document all shift activities and calls for service as well as security incident reports.
• Assist in various circumstances, settings, and weather as needed and report security incidents.
