Job summary

aah is seeking a Full-time Security Officer to join our hospital security team in Aurora, CO. The role requires 40 hours per week with rotating weekends and holidays, providing professional security services focused on safety and patient care.

Responsibilities include patrolling, incident reporting, and crisis response, while maintaining a calm, service-oriented demeanor toward patients, visitors, and staff. 1+ year in security is preferred; a High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in security, public safety, or customer service preferred.
• Capable of responding to emergent situations and protecting patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides security services with a customer-service approach, emphasizing professionalism and fairness.
• Maintains professional appearance and adheres to safety policies and training.
• Performs interior and exterior patrols, inspects for hazards, and manages patient valuables.
• Responds to emergencies and workplace violence, de-escalates and uses force when necessary within policy.
• Implements crowd and traffic control, assists with directions and patient/staff support.
• Coordinates with law enforcement and first responders as needed.
• Completes reports and supports security education across the site.
