PeaceHealth in Washington is seeking a Security Officer - Security Parking for a full-time position. You will patrol facilities, manage access, and coordinate with local law enforcement to ensure safety in a busy healthcare environment.

The role includes escort duties, incident reporting, and supporting patients, visitors and staff with crisis situations while maintaining comprehensive documentation and access control systems.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication (Required).
• Ability to formulate a plan of action and apply crisis intervention skills (Required).
• Ability to perform data entry as necessary (Required).
• Good physical condition to walk, run and lift as needed (Required).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel (Required).
• Acceptable driving record per company policy (Required).

Responsibilities

• Patrol grounds, parking lots, buildings and secure entryways to address issues.
• Provide stand-by escort services for protection of caregivers or patients as needed.
• Offer courtesy services like directions, jump-starts, changing tires, and assistance during crises.
• Use non-violent crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate situations.
• Coordinate information and emergency protocols with external safety and law enforcement.
• Respond to emergencies and apply protocols for codes and disasters.
• Maintain documentation and badge/door access records.
