Job summary

Texas Health Resources seeks a Security Officer for a part-time night shift at our Burleson facility. The role involves patrolling campus, controlling access, escorting individuals, and enforcing safety policies after hours.

You will work with a team delivering incident reports, coordinating with law enforcement, and ensuring a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. A valid license and security certifications are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s Degree in related field preferred
• 2 years healthcare or education experience preferred
• Driver’s License Class C required
• CSO Texas Security Level 2 preferred; Level 3 within 60 days of hire
• TASER certification within 60 days of hire with annual recertification
• CPI training upon hire; ACPI training within 12 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Patrols buildings and grounds for unlocked secured areas during after-hours.
• Locks and opens doors according to schedules.
• Provides escorts to and from parking areas.
• Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.
• Enforces campus parking policies and citations.
• Pursues and detains individuals involved in criminal activity.
• Fills incident/offense reports and composes clear narratives.
• Gives directions to facility areas and coordinates with staff.
• Interacts with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Patrols interior and perimeter of campus and parking areas.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or related field

2 years healthcare or education experience

Driver’s License Class C

CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (preferred)

CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 3 (within 60 days of hire)

TASER Certification within 60 days of hire (and annual recertification)

CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training upon hire

ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 12 months of hire

Psychological evaluation required
