UF Health seeks a Security Officer II to support patrol and response strategies across a major healthcare campus, including ER, Maternal Child, Behavioral Center and other zones. The role requires mobility, vigilance and immediate response to incidents while maintaining safety for staff, patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years Healthcare Security, Safety.
• 2 Year degree in related subject or business.
• 5 years+ Law Enforcement/Corrections or Military Police may substitute for prior Healthcare Security experience.

Responsabilités

• Exterior patrols to deter threats and monitor campus security.
• Maintain presence in ER and other high-stress zones, ensuring safe access and calm environment.
• Patrol interior areas and respond to non-clinical emergencies as needed.
• Maintain detailed daily records and generate security reports and work orders.
• Operate radios, access control, cameras, infant alarms and weapons-detection systems; monitor emails for updates.

Formation

High School Diploma/Equivalent

2 Year degree in related subject or business

5 years+ Law Enforcement/Corrections or Military Police substitute for Healthcare Security experience
