Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking Security Officers for St. Marys Medical Center in Minnesota. Officers protect patients, staff, and facilities by patrolling, responding to emergencies, and enforcing campus rules to maintain safety and order.

The role involves day/evening/night shifts with 4 days on, 4 days off, and requires an active driver’s license and 21+ years of age. BCLS and de-escalation training within specified timelines are preferred/required.

Qualifications

• No education requirements.
• BCLS preferred and must be obtained within three months of hire.
• Active driver’s license and must be at least 21 years old.
• De-escalation training required within five months of hire if not completed within past three years.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the healthcare environment to deter criminal activity, identify hazards, prevent incidents and safety accidents.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, disasters, and threatening situations with violent or combative persons.
• Enforce medical campus rules and take action to maintain order and prevent disruption or interference with medical center operations.
