Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a Healthcare Security Officer – Flex/Float to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors across Danbury, New Milford, and Sharon, CT. This mobile role requires adaptable availability and strong customer service to support a safe hospital environment.

You will respond to incidents, enforce site procedures, and provide professional assistance, coordinating with clinical teams and local responders as needed. Training is provided for new hires.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability to work at three CT locations and all shifts.
• Reliable transportation to travel between sites.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications.
• Security, law enforcement, military, or healthcare security experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and follow procedures during emergencies.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at assigned healthcare facilities in Danbury, New Milford, and Sharon.
• Control access to facilities and restricted areas per post orders.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols to identify hazards.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies following procedures.
• Assist staff in managing disruptive individuals using de-escalation techniques.
• Monitor people, property, and sensitive information per client policies.
• Prepare incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Support enforcement of hospital policies (visitors, badges, parking).
• Provide directions and information to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, law enforcement, and responders as needed.
• Follow health, safety, and infection-control procedures including PPE.
• Participate in training and stay updated on site procedures.
