Job summary

Seton Medical Center Harker Heights in Texas is hiring a Day Shift Security Officer to join our on-site team. You will protect life and property, patrol hospital buildings and grounds, and respond to security needs of staff, patients and visitors in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

This safety-sensitive role requires 1+ year healthcare or related experience, the ability to investigate and document incidents, and Texas Level 2 license with Level 3 to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 1+ year healthcare-specific experience or relevant experience in law enforcement or military service.
• Experience prioritizing, conducting, and documenting investigations.
• Level 2 Security license issued by the State of Texas.
• Level 3 Security license issued by the State of Texas required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• The Security Officer plays a critical role in protecting the life and property of all persons on the premises and patrols hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism. Secures, unlocks, and protects hospital buildings. Responds to security needs of hospital personnel, patients, and visitors. This position is safety-sensitive.
