Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, guests and staff, enforce policies, and perform essential duties with courtesy and professionalism.

Required are a High School diploma, 1 year of security or related experience, BLS, valid driver's license, CPI and IAHSS certification within 90 days, and completion of an FTO program. Must communicate effectively and be able to walk the facility as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of security, law enforcement, or military experience required.
• BLS from American Heart Association required.
• Valid driver’s license in state of practice and clean DMV report.
• CPI training and firearms training completed.
• IAHSS certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Enforces safety rules, regulations and policies on company property.
• Conducts routine inspections of on-site and off-site locations.
• Investigates incidents and reports occurrences promptly.
• Performs opening/lockdown of buildings as approved by Administration.
• Participates in emergency response and drills.
• Maintains annual certifications and training within required timeframes.
• Interact respectfully with diverse patient populations and staff.
