Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment at AHN hospitals and clinics. You will enforce policies, patrol facilities, and respond to emergencies while providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Required: 3–5 years in security; HS diploma/GED. Preferred: Criminology degree and Act 120 certification; CPR/AED within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred in criminology.
• 3–5 years of security experience required.
• Act 120 certification preferred; PA Act 235, Act 34, Act 33, Act 73 and CPR/AED within 30 days of hire may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive patrols of AHN property and surrounding areas.
• Respond to emergencies, de-escalate where needed, and restrain combative individuals when necessary.
• Testify in court or hearings in arrest situations.
• Assist with traffic control when required.
• Complete incident reports and related documentation.
