Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Full Time Entry Screening in Gaithersburg, MD. You will provide customer service to employees and visitors while enforcing site-specific security procedures and responding to incidents.

Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access, documenting activities, and coordinating with site contacts. A HS diploma and background check are required; various certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).
• Background check to be completed.
• Drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, labs, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify credentials; maintain visitor and contractor records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Prepare clear reports on patrols, incidents, observations, and concerns and communicate with site contacts and leadership.
