Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a vigilant security professional to join our Public Safety team in Cambridge, MA. You will respond to emergencies, manage crises, and coordinate with local police and EMS to protect patients, staff, and visitors.

The role requires high school level education and preferably an associate's degree in justice or related fields, with 1–2 years healthcare security experience. Training includes extensive safety protocols and de-escalation techniques.

Qualifications

• Adequate reading, oral, and written communication skills.
• 1–2 years healthcare security experience preferred.
• Certification requirements include AVADE WV, BLS CPR/AED, and Stop the Bleed.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergencies, codes, and alarms per policy.
• First responders to violence and crisis situations.
• Coordinate with local emergency services and security teams.
• Conduct preliminary investigations and incident reporting.
• Provide safe transportation for staff and patients as needed.
