Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Scheduling & Billing Specialist for St. Rita’s Medical Center. The role involves coordinating patient testing and procedures, entering data, and providing receptionist support as needed.

Expect a 32-hour work week with a Days/Afternoons shift and weekend/holiday call rotation. The position requires at least a High School Diploma or GED and preferably an Associate degree in business or healthcare. Prior scheduling and payroll experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 2 years of scheduling and payroll experience (preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Associate degree in business, Healthcare, or related field (preferred)
• No licensure/certification required or specified

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule patient testing and procedures.
• Enter patient data into the computer system and perform general office tasks.
• May serve as receptionist for patients.
• Verify patient information, orders, and insurance prerequisites.
• Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorization and pre-certifications.
• Ensure accurate patient identification per hospital policy.
