Job summary

SEARHC seeks a Safety and Environmental Health professional to lead the compliance program across multiple hospital and clinic locations in Southeast Alaska. You will evaluate risks, conduct regulatory surveillance, and coordinate incident investigations while guiding system-wide safety initiatives.

The role emphasizes emergency preparedness, staff training, and collaboration with leadership to advance SEARHC's EH&S objectives, ensuring patient and employee safety across sites.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor of Science in safety or occupational health or equivalent experience.
• Eight years of related safety, security, environmental health, or compliance work can substitute for the degree.
• NIMS 100/200/300/400/700/800 certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regulatory compliance surveillance across inpatient, outpatient, and support facilities.
• Serve as regulatory compliance liaison during inspections and investigations.
• Complete employee injury investigations with trend analysis and stakeholder communication.
