Trinity Health Of New England's Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT is seeking a Risk Manager to oversee the risk management program across inpatient and outpatient settings. This role supports patient safety and regulatory compliance.

You will lead investigations, RCAs, safety reviews, and corrective actions, while collaborating with clinical leadership, legal counsel, and risk teams. The position offers a day-shift, on-site schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred
• Connecticut RN license (preferred)
• Experience in medical risk management in a hospital setting
• Clinical background with leadership experience
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, FDA, OSHA regulations

Responsibilities

• Administer the facility’s risk management program daily
• Lead risk identification, investigation, and reduction including incident reviews
• Conduct RCAs and safety event investigations; develop corrective action plans
• Participate in daily safety huddles and risk management meetings
• Maintain risk data and ensure confidentiality of records
• Verify documentation accuracy and security (medical, billing, policies, reports)
• Inform leaders of occurrences, trends, and recommendations
• Assist chairs and department heads in program design and implementation
• Collaborate with legal counsel on investigations and claims
• Coordinate with insurance programs with Risk Management Team
• Analyze patient safety concerns and risk trends to reduce risk
