Job summary

Altra Homecare Group is seeking a Healthcare Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruiting of caregivers and clinical staff and to manage daily scheduling. The role is in-person, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM at our Indianapolis office.

You’ll build a talent pipeline, ensure client coverage, and maintain compliant, high-quality staffing. Responsibilities include sourcing, interviewing, offers, onboarding, and scheduling, with emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years of recruiting or staffing experience, preferably in healthcare, home care, or high-volume hiring.
• Experience with scheduling or staffing coordination, in home care or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of caregiver credentials (HHA, CNA, PCA) and licensing requirements.
• Experience with ATS and scheduling software.
• Strong communication and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle recruiting of caregivers and clinical staff (HHAs, CNAs, PCAs) from sourcing to onboarding.
• Create and manage caregiver schedules to match client care plans and needs.
• Match caregivers to clients based on skills, availability, location, and preferences.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and wage-and-hour/state regulations.
• Maintain accurate candidate, employee, and scheduling records.
