Job summary

Mental Health Treatment Centers of America is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Specialist to manage the billing lifecycle for behavioral health services. This onsite role focuses on submitting claims, following up on denials, posting payments, and maintaining accurate records in EMR systems.

You will analyze accounts, generate performance reports, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering excellent payer and patient support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or related healthcare finance role.
• Behavioral health billing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of claims processing, denial management, collections, and reimbursement methods.
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT coding, and healthcare billing systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Submit, track, and manage insurance claims for behavioral health services.
• Follow up on denied, rejected, unpaid, or underpaid claims and process appeals as needed.
• Post and reconcile insurance and patient payments accurately.
• Manage accounts receivable and reduce outstanding balances.
• Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve billing and reimbursement issues.
• Respond to patient billing inquiries and assist with payment arrangements.
• Maintain billing records and documentation within billing systems and EMRs.
• Generate reports related to collections, reimbursement activity, and accounts receivable performance.
• Review EOBs, verify patient information, and navigate payer portals.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, payer requirements, and company policies.

MHTCA is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Specialist to support our growing behavioral health organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the revenue cycle process to ensure accurate billing, timely reimbursement, and effective resolution of insurance and patient account issues. What You'll Do
