Job summary

Grand River Health in Rifle, CO is hiring a Purchasing Agent (FT, Days) to ensure departments receive the supplies, equipment, and resources needed for exceptional patient care. You will manage purchasing activities, support capital acquisitions, and optimize supply chain operations across the health system.

The successful candidate is detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and excels at vendor relationships, PO processing in Meditech, and resolving backorders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in purchasing, supply chain, or related healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory management, and healthcare supplies preferred.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; excellent communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Meditech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchase medical and non-medical supplies for hospital and departmental needs.
• Coordinate with vendors and support capital equipment purchasing and bidding processes.
• Generate, track, and expedite purchase orders through Meditech.
• Resolve backorders, recalls, invoice discrepancies, and supply requests.
• Maintain purchasing databases, PPE allocations, and supply charge processing.
• Support value analysis initiatives, inventory projects, and departmental cross-training.
• Other duties as assigned.
