Job summary

HMC Architects is seeking an experienced Project Manager with healthcare project experience to lead medium to large projects from planning through construction. You will manage budgeting, scheduling, design development, and client relationships while guiding teams and coordinating with consultants.

The role is based in our Ontario, CA office with three days in the office and the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. The firm emphasizes ownership culture and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in architectural practice, including project management.
• Strong understanding of contractual obligations, project fees, and budget management.
• Proven ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and make sound decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing consultants, agencies, and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of architectural projects, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and billing.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate project team members; delegate work and provide performance feedback.
• Prepare and manage work plans, schedules, staffing projections, and project fees.
• Oversee design development, construction documents, specifications, and construction administration.
• Review cost estimates, conduct value analysis, and manage project changes.
