Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Sioux Falls Healthcare System, seeks a Healthcare Engineer - Project Engineer to lead project planning, design, and construction administration for Minor Construction projects, NRMs, Station Level Projects, and Leases.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, structural, civil and other engineering/architectural principles in healthcare.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulatory requirements (TJC, OSHA, NFPA, etc.).
• Ability to plan and lead multi-disciplinary teams and projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute complex healthcare construction projects from design through construction administration.
• Produce designs and manage design processes for Minor Construction, NRMs, Station Level Projects, and Leases.
• Coordinate construction activities and supervision with vendors, contractors and internal stakeholders.
