The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Project Engineer within a VA Healthcare System.

The role spans project planning, design production, and construction administration for Minor Construction, NRMs, Station Level Projects, and Leases across architectural, electrical, life safety, mechanical, civil, and structural domains. Responsibilities include coordinating planning, design, and construction activities; ensuring compliance with VA design guides, codes, and safety standards;

Qualifications

• Citizenship: U.S. citizen.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Architecture.
• Curriculum: ABET-accredited or equivalent.
• Pathways: FE exam, EIT or professional licensure.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee minor construction, NRM, station level projects and leases across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Manage construction and provide construction administration for projects, ensuring alignment with VA standards.
• Coordinate with A/E firms, utilities, and contractors to meet schedules, budgets, and quality.
• Apply healthcare regulations, codes, and safety standards in project execution.
• Support energy conservation and reliability of facility operations during projects.
