Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a Project Biller/Collector at our Franklin, TN corporate office to handle daily accounts receivable collections and billing for designated facilities. The role focuses on improving cash flow, reducing days in accounts receivable, and minimizing bad debt through accurate claim submission, timely follow-up, and detailed documentation.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, 5 years of related experience, and strong Microsoft Office skills; experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prefer some college or technical school coursework.
• Minimum 5 years of job-related experience.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle sensitive, proprietary data with confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Call and status outstanding claims with third party payors.
• Review claims issues, make corrections, rebill and resubmit electronically when available.
• Review explanations of benefits to ensure correct processing and payment.
• Complete adjustment forms with supporting documentation and route for approvals.
• Manage daily productivity to maintain minimum 40 accounts worked per day.
• Prorate patient accounts and ensure correct financial class Balance due.
• Coordinate with facilities business office to obtain EOBs and docs.
• Weekly reporting of weekly overview and participation in calls/reports.
