Job summary

NBBJ Charlotte is seeking a highly collaborative Senior Project Architect to lead our team on large-scale healthcare projects, with client contact and leadership responsibilities. The Project Architect will design and deliver projects, overseeing construction of new buildings and alterations while maintaining design intent and excellence.

You will be a strong communicator, coordinating with clients, consultants, and staff, and guiding documentation from schematic design through construction

Qualifications

• 8+ years of architectural experience.
• Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree.
• Proven ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Licensure as Architect; LEED or sustainability accreditation preferred.
• Ability to travel as project needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and team members to identify objectives, develop options, and formulate creative solutions.
• Interpret design concepts by collaborating with project teams and translate them into workable construction systems and detailing.
• Prepare and maintain documentation from schematic design through construction administration.
• Lead and coordinate the work of other team members and consultants, providing direction and mentoring.
• Participate in marketing efforts, including proposals and client interviews.
