Job summary

A2H, Inc. is seeking a Project Architect in our Memphis, TN office with strong healthcare project experience.

You will lead project teams, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as the primary client liaison to ensure satisfaction throughout all phases of design and construction. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and consultants, drive design excellence, and mentor junior staff while delivering projects that meet quality and performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture from NCARB accredited school.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn.
• Collaborative and professional work ethic.
• Thorough knowledge of professional practice of architecture and client expectations.
• Advanced knowledge of the project design process, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Ability to define project scope, fees, and mitigate risk.
• Ability to direct or coordinate work efforts with technical staff.
• Experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Promote the firm’s mission and lead projects through completion.
• Focus on healthcare projects of varying sizes and complexities.
• Manage complex projects from conception to construction.
• Develop project work plans with the team to meet quality, schedule, and budget goals.
• Serve as primary client liaison to ensure satisfaction.
• Estimate fees, define scopes of work, prepare proposals, and write contracts.
• Participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Oversee design activities for quality, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate workload and project communications across teams.
• Develop client relations and collaborate with consultants and agencies.
• Ensure timely project documentation and successful completion of deliverables.
• Strengthen market reputation through value-driven leadership.
