We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Healthcare Product Manager to join our team in the Tech Services industry. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the development and enhancement of cutting-edge healthcare products that will make a significant impact on the lives of millions of people. As a Healthcare Product Manager, you will be at the forefront of our team, working together to develop innovative solutions that revolutionize healthcare delivery. You will be responsible for driving product development from concept to launch, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, usability, and customer satisfaction.

Summary

The Product Manager, Human Capital and Time Management Applications, serves as the critical bridge between IT and Human Resources, driving the strategic alignment of technology with HR business objectives. This role manages the full lifecycle of HR applications, including potentially Workday, Kronos, and Healthstream, ensuring seamless operations and delivering high-value IT solutions. Reporting to the Director, Human Capital and Time Management Applications, the Product Manager blends technical expertise with business acumen to support existing systems, lead projects, and facilitate strategic IT initiatives within the HR domain.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Business or a related field.

Minimum Experience

  • Must have 5 years of experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Must have 5 years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on configuring and supporting HRIS systems, with a strong understanding of HR processes and data management.
  • Experience with the implementation, re-engineering or re-design of scheduling and timekeeping process and support applications, credential tracking and management, identity management across employees and non-employees.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) managing leadership-level business relationships and leading technology teams in application support or project management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, including planning, execution, and oversight, with knowledge of ITIL framework and software delivery methodologies.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of enterprise IT strategy, with experience as a consultant or facilitator.
  • Knowledge of Agile Project Management methodologies.
  • Experience making presentations in front of large groups.

Accountabilities

  • Oversees the building of products to ensure quality of build of the digital application solutions. Helps develop new ideas based on contact with department partners.
  • Manages, administers, and plans the development of all digital and analytics applications activities to meet objectives. Makes decisions with imperfect information, leads without authority, and manages chaos, ambiguity, and complexity.
  • Analyzes and recommends appropriate technical solutions for digital applications and integration efforts to support the overall enterprise, understanding industry problems and finding innovative solutions.
  • Maintains leadership in setting service standards and policies, ensuring compatibility with USC standard information systems architecture, tools, policies, and procedures. Acts as evangelist for Analytics and Applications product offerings.
  • Ensures participation among key business and digital application partners from the enterprise, including clinical, business, and research areas.
  • Leads a team of developers, analysts, engineers, and mentors their professional development in digital applications and analytics products creation, through indirect supervision, influence, and mentoring.
  • Develops broader awareness of optimal digital application use enterprise-wide, maintains relationships with enterprise leaders to support data-driven decision making, and shares best practices.
  • Leads in application selection, RFP preparation, etc., in conjunction with procurement personnel.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the Information Services Strategic Plan, focusing on digital applications and integration.
  • Collaborates with the PMO to develop benchmarks, plans, and financial models to evaluate projects related to digital applications and integration.
  • Oversees technical staff to ensure quality of digital application solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
