Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Procurement Analyst II to manage daily procurement activities in a major academic health system in Irvine. The role focuses on evaluating service requests, prioritizing work, maintaining critical data, and collaborating with accounts payable to ensure timely payments and contract compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in healthcare procurement, strong MS Office skills, and proven data analysis and vendor negotiation abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a purchaser in a large, complex healthcare system.
• Knowledge of healthcare materials, equipment, supplies, and services.
• Familiar with MS Office suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with data analysis and vendor sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate requests for services and set priorities.
• Maintain an integral database of information.
• Serve as liaison between supply chain and Accounts Payable.
• Ensure fulfillment of contract terms and monitor vendor relationships.
