Job summary

UC Health is seeking a Portfolio Project Manager to lead a focused portfolio of initiatives across clinical and non-clinical domains. You will collaborate with leadership to define scope, align priorities, and ensure delivery of high-quality work while managing multiple concurrent projects.

You will serve as primary contact for assigned domains, coordinate with stakeholders, and apply the UC Health Performance Improvement framework to achieve strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Preferred: IHI Certification, PMP, or related certification.
• LEAN/Six Sigma experience and/or formal training desirable.
• Ability to create project-specific Gantt charts, SBARs, flow charts, and project charters.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage group discussions and meetings while building relationships with stakeholders.
• Manage and develop communication to key leadership members within UC Health and other stakeholders including steering committees, board meetings and other venues.
• Primary point of contact for all projects and initiatives taken on by assigned domain(s).
• Leverage the UC Health PI Way to manage portfolio(s) of work for a dedicated clinical domain area and ensure documentation for project work.
• Define projects, set scope, perform stakeholder analysis/engagement, and coordinate with domain leadership.
• Oversee creation of work products and projects ensuring quality deliverables and independent work.
• Ensure timely progress toward portfolio goals and escalate barriers as needed.
• Coordinate work with other Portfolio Project Managers and project owners to align with corporate goals.
• Bridge gaps between strategy and implementation across multiple projects and potential projects.
• Review metrics and support domain needs through minor data analysis.
