Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Healthcare Career Pathways Educator to deliver and administer the TCALC High School Healthcare Pathway under the supervision of the Lead Outreach Educator. You will maintain documentation for regulatory requirements, grades and attendance, and prepare materials for submission to regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in health care or related area.
• 1 year experience in direct patient care.
• Experience teaching or precepting.
• Experience developing or delivering training.
• Educating in a classroom environment.
• Experience in varied clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Administers the TCALC High School Healthcare Pathway under the guidance of the Lead Outreach Educator, including managing documentation of regulatory requirements, grades and attendance.
• Instructs according to defined course outline, utilizing principles of education appropriate to needs and age of the target population (high school students).
• Identifies follow-up needs of participants and facilitates meeting those needs.
• Evaluates outcomes of educational endeavors in partnership with the Lead Outreach Educator, and tracks learner outcomes in line with evidence-based practice.
• Independently manages the classroom milieu, including supporting students’ academic and behavioral growth as well as their safety, updating parents on student progress, and working closely with school administration.
• Manages multiple projects independently, attending to details and meeting deadlines.
• Mantains fiscal responsibility for the pathway program and its associated simulation lab.
• Provides additional support, resources, and interventions for students who are struggling.
