Job summary

You will prepare meals according to established menus, therapeutic diet requirements, and safety standards, ensuring accurate, consistent production and timely service for patient satisfaction. This role supports kitchen operations and teamwork across the dietary department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Culinary training or certificate preferred.
• Food Handler's Permit or ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• 3+ years of professional cooking experience in healthcare, school/institution food service, or commercial dining.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality, visually appealing meals for patients and staff.
• Follow therapeutic diet orders, texture modifications, and BH safety protocols.
• Support menu preparation, food production, and presentation standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment.
• Assist with inventory, food prep, and teamwork across the dietary department.
