Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. in Birmingham, AL seeks a Paralegal to support our Legal Department. The role researches law, prepares documents, and coordinates with attorneys to ensure timely work product delivery.

The Paralegal will prepare contracts and affidavits, communicate legal findings clearly to internal stakeholders, and assist with compliance across clinical, operational, and business areas. Mitarbeit with dedicated professionals is encouraged.

Qualifications

• The candidate has an Associate's degree or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 2+ years of paralegal experience are required.
• Healthcare-related experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook is expected.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are essential.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents such as contracts and affidavits for review by attorneys.
• Communicate legal advice clearly to internal stakeholders with attorney oversight.
• Assist attorneys with clinical, operational, and business compliance matters.
• Perform clerical tasks: scheduling, inquiries, and routine correspondence.
• Maintain document files and ensure proper indexing of originals.
• Research statutes, cases, and legal codes to support work products.
• Track projects to monitor productivity and timely completion.
• Assist with special projects and related duties as required.
