Job summary

EPIC Health is offering a paid, 12-month Administrative Fellowship in Healthcare Operations in Detroit, designed to develop future leaders in practice management and operations. You will work with Practice Managers and leadership across departments, learn to analyze performance, improve workflows, and lead projects from planning to implementation.

The program emphasizes hands-on learning, cross-functional exposure, and professional development to prepare for senior roles in healthcare

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), MBA, MPH, or related field, preferably completed within the last two years or currently enrolled.
• Strong interest in healthcare administration, operations, and leadership.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and willingness to learn.
• Healthcare experience, internship, residency, or previous administrative experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on exposure to the daily operations of outpatient healthcare practices.
• Work alongside Practice Managers to understand staffing, scheduling, patient flow, workflows, and clinic performance.
• Learn how operational decisions affect patient experience, provider productivity, financial performance.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and standardization of workflows.
• Take ownership of assigned projects from planning through implementation.
