Job summary

South Denver Surgery Center is seeking a Full Time Business Office Verifier to join a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment.

The role requires admitting patients, updating demographics, collecting balances, handling funds, answering calls, and assisting with chart prep and scheduling for procedures and anesthesia coverage. Flexibility to float to other locations may be required. A strong attention to detail and professional demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year previous health care clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
• Must be able to operate common office equipment.
• Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial.
• Good communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients and process paperwork; update demographics in system.
• Collect balances due and document in billing system.
• Handle funds per office procedures.
• Answer incoming phone calls and support chart prep.
• Coordinate with the office on scheduling for procedures and anesthesia coverage.
• May float to other locations for coverage.
