Job summary

SGMC Health Careers is seeking a Network Infrastructure Specialist to install, maintain, and repair network cabling, LCDs, and IT equipment in a healthcare setting. You will work with the Lead Network Administrator to ensure reliable connectivity and compliant installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; temporary licensure not accepted.
• Active Network+ or CCNA preferred; willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• 1+ year IT experience in a healthcare or similar environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and network fundamentals.
• Experience with cabling tools and reading schematics is essential.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair network cabling within healthcare facilities.
• Install and configure LCDs, workstations, wall mounts and related IT equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot network cabling and equipment issues promptly.
• Collaborate with Lead Network Administrator on installation plans.
• Coordinate with IT Support to ensure integrated and functional installations.
• Maintain accurate records of cabling and equipment activities.
• Follow healthcare IT security policies and ensure a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
