Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking a Network Infrastructure Specialist for the Main Campus Information Services department. This full-time role covers installation, maintenance, and repair of network cabling, LCDs, and IT equipment in a healthcare setting.

You will work with the Lead Network Administrator and Lead LAN Technician to ensure reliable connectivity and service for the facility. The ideal candidate has cabling experience, basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS), and a willingness to obtain

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Candidate should obtain Network+ or CCNA within 6 months.
• 1+ years IT/technical field experience or potential for growth.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
• Familiarity with cabling tools and equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair network cabling in healthcare facilities.
• Install and configure LCDs, workstations, mounts, and related IT equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot cabling and equipment issues.
• Develop installation plans for cabling and equipment with supervision.
• Collaborate with IT team to ensure integrated network functionality.
• Maintain records of installations, repairs, and upgrades.
• Comply with healthcare and IT security policies and regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Support on-call and off-hours as needed.
