Job summary

IMEG Corporation offers a Summer 2027 Mechanical Engineering Intern position in St. Louis, MO.

Over 10-12 weeks, you will assist in analysis, design, and oversight of mechanical systems for healthcare-focused MEP work, gaining hands-on experience with experienced engineers and consultants. You’ll support project documentation, coordination, and site observations while helping teams stay within budgets and meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years completed.
• Prior internship experience in building design consulting is preferred.
• Proven interest in design consulting and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical system design according to code and company standards.
• Research commercially available equipment and supporting resources.
• Support client relations, project documentation, and permanent record documentation.
• Coordinate design activities with architectural, structural, electrical and other teams.
• Document design decisions and monitor project progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final check.
• Help prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and support contract services.
