Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern in St. Louis, Missouri for a 10-12 week summer program.

You will assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems for healthcare-focused MEP work, while gaining hands-on experience alongside experienced engineers and consultants. You will support project documentation, coordination, and job site observations, collaborating across disciplines and helping teams stay within project budgets and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Two years completed toward BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Prior internship in building design consulting is a plus.
• Strong interest in design consulting and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical system design according to code and company standards.
• Research commercially available equipment and supporting resources.
• Support client relations, project notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
• Coordinate design activities with architectural, structural, electrical and other teams.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions; monitor progress.
