Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Mechanical Engineer for our Jacksonville, FL office to lead healthcare design projects within the Property & Buildings practice.

The role requires a licensed Mechanical Engineer with extensive healthcare design experience and a track record in leadership and business development. The ideal candidate will manage complex projects from design through construction, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and build strong relationships with clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in mechanical design, preferably healthcare.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical design for healthcare facilities.
• Strong leadership and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, review and approve mechanical design plans compliant with codes and regulations.
• Apply high-level engineering techniques to healthcare projects from concept to construction.
• Manage design and construction of mechanical systems and related investigations.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams on mid-size to large projects.
• Develop client relationships and provide technical input on pursuits.
