Job summary

Vizient, Inc. in Worcester is seeking an experienced Materials Management professional to oversee daily receiving and shipping activities at hospital locations, off-site sites and receiving areas.

You will ensure optimal customer service and act as a liaison between supply chain, clinical departments and finance to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities include managing stock and returns, coordinating vendor credits and exchanges, setting daily work schedules and productivity

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 2+ years of inventory management experience required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with Materials Management Information Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving and distribution functions and ensure data accuracy in systems.
• Monitor delivery schedules and timely receipt from vendors, including remote receiving.
• Perform inventory checks for stock rotation and expirations.
• Coordinate annual physical inventory with senior leadership.
• Manage bar coding and generate reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with equipment maintenance, safety, and infection control policies.
• Respond to customer requests via phone, email, or pager.
• Train new staff in safety and materials management software.
• Develop and recommend budgets for managed areas.
