Job summary

University of Utah Health is seeking a Materials Management professional to coordinate procurement of complex orders, supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective, timely acquisitions across hospital operations.

The role requires two years of materials management experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to implement Just-in-Time inventory practices. On-call availability may be required to support 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in materials management, business, or related field.
• Minimum two years of materials management experience.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Ability to implement JIT inventory practices.
• Willingness to be on-call 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement of complex orders, supplies and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot.
• Research purchases and coordinate contract negotiations.
• Audit inventory levels and recommend cost-effective options.
• Act as liaison between vendors, managers and departments.
• Develop and maintain reports related to equipment and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
