Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Material Handler II on a per diem basis to support clinical areas with timely inventory, delivery, and replenishment of medical/surgical supplies. The role acts as the frontline liaison for multiple departments and involves routine inventory assessments across 8 clinical areas.

The position requires at least a High School diploma, 1–3 years of related experience, and familiarity with computer systems and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
1-3 Years Related Work Experience Required.
Experience with computer systems including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsibilities

Inventories, delivers, and replenishes medical/surgical supplies to various clinical areas throughout the medical center.
Acts as the front line liaison to the clinical departments and handle all supply related tasks for the area including assessing supply needs on over 300 line items, inventorying supplies regularly and providing replenishment of supplies.
Uses a handheld inventory module to assess supply needs on approximately 300 items in up to 8 different clinical areas.
Replenishes all supply items daily and provides feedback on any stock shortages.
Maintains a neat, orderly work environment in each of the clinical areas serviced, including rotation of stock, validation of expiration dates, disposal of refuse, storage requirements, and neatening of existing stock.
