Job summary

Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, MA is seeking a Materials Handler to support supply chain operations within the Central Distribution department. The role involves receiving, stocking, and delivering supplies across Cape Cod Healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities include inventory control, order processing, and coordination with departments to ensure timely restocking. Candidates should have a High School diploma and at least one year in materials management or warehousing; English communication

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Mathematical skills at the level of a High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• One year experience in materials management and/or warehousing preferred.
• Possesses basic computer/keyboard skills necessary to run multiple Materials Management module routines and communicate efficiently via the messaging system.

Responsibilities

• Receives, delivers, and inventories materials, supplies and equipment.
• Reconciles shipping documents with purchase orders.
• Inspects shipments for damages or discrepancies and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Inputs receiving information into Materials Management Information System accurately.
• Coordinates shipments and prepares bills of lading as required.
• Picks up and delivers supplies and inter-facility mail to departments and entities.
