Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Associates degree in business or marketing is preferred but not required.
• At least one year of experience in business development or marketing in a skilled nursing facility or related health care facility.
• Understanding of customer service principles and exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Knowledgeable of insurance coverage and authorization processes for long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Participates in an open relationship between continuum partners to improve occupancy and collections.
• Converts referrals to admission status and tracks status daily.
• Communicates with external team members about referral status and required information.
• Works with central intake, business office, and administrators to complete financial evaluations and payment options.
• Knows which payors require prior authorization and ensures authorization is obtained.
• Maintains daily referral tracking and records pay status in resident records.
• Gives tours to potential residents/representatives and answers inquiries.
• Promotes teamwork and effective communication.
