Job summary

Apple Rehab Uncasville is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform routine building maintenance across our facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks. You will help keep interiors, exteriors, and equipment in good condition and support safety compliance.

The role requires 2+ years in maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work with a team and possibly outside normal hours. Prior experience with safety procedures is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems preferred.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals.
• Team player and ability to follow supervisor instructions.
• May require after-hours work.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC system maintenance.
• Clean interior and exterior of the building and equipment.
• Complete administrative duties and report maintenance statuses.
• Comply with safety and health regulations.
• Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and report needs.
• Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
• Work with contracted vendors.
