Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Laundry Worker to help maintain clean linens and garments in a long-term care facility. You will operate washing and drying equipment, sort and distribute items, and support infection control practices to ensure a sanitary environment.

We value a positive attitude, reliability, and ability to follow instructions. No heavy experience required; prior laundry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
